PQ Challenge 17.2 - Scads of Plaid

Scrappy Monster Doll #8647
For this challenge I maximized my use of plaid fabrics. I found a plaid cheater cloth and decided to use that for the body of this little creature. Coffee was used to grunge up the fabric a bit. I appliqued wool for the face. The eyes are scraps of fabric scraps and buttons.

I made a little cape with machine embroidered words, " ICE is bad for your health" and appliqued it to a piece of wool. I stitched it to the scrappy monsters back. Buttons were used to attach the arms to make them moveable.

Auditioning button eyes was really fun and my family enjoyed giving me input.

I stuffed the body and tiny arms and legs with poly fiber fill and a chop stick.

I traced a large Tums container as a general shape and made a pattern.
