Old Blocks, New Pieces  I love all areas of quilting but I'm especially interested in vintage and antique quilts and fabrics. As a member of my local guild, I decided to try out a small group that specializes in the history of quilts and quilt makers. I attended 3 Schoolhouse Quilters meetings before COVID-19 hit. I learned so much but my favorite part was the firsthand examination of antique quilts with others who were willing to share their passion and knowledge of quilts with me. I found a little hummingbird print in my scraps and fussy cut a 3 1/2" square. Rule 2 met. I started my project within the contest week. The night before counts! My fussy cut is complete! Rule 1 met. Now what? I used reproduction fabrics from a charm pack and framed the little bird. With 2 layers of Warm and Natural 80/20 batting, I made a mini quilt sandwich.  Of
