14.3 – 54-40 or Fight – Challenge 3 of Project QUILTING Season 14

For this weeks challenge I decide to make a 54-40 or Fight Oregon Territory Distressed Postcard. I printed a map onto fabric, then on a scrap of the printer fabric I drew the 54-40 or Fight Block. I  layered a scrap of batting and stitched the block outline on my Juki. I then hand stitched the faux mini block to my postcard. The last step was to "destress" the postcard.

I decided to practice my hand quilting on this project!



I really just wanted to wear my new thimble I purchased at Road to California in January



These blending brushes another find at Road to California. 
My ink pad was a first on this weeks project.

  15.5 – Wearables – Challenge 5 For this challenge I was excited to make a Quilter's Coat. The pattern is by Tedi Patterson owner of   ThreadyBearCreations  on Etsy. I was hoping that we would have a clothing challenge. I was ready and waiting!  The pattern starts with a a tractional Indian Kantha Quilt. This was my third coat using this pattern it's so fun, easy and looks cool! I had ordered my fabric in January hoping I would get a chance to make a coat. I'm so happy it worked out! Project Quilting Season 15!  15.1 – Bird House Hello!  I'm excited to join in another season of Project Quilting this will make my 4th year participating.
