14.3 – 54-40 or Fight – Challenge 3 of Project QUILTING Season 14
For this weeks challenge I decide to make a 54-40 or Fight Oregon Territory Distressed Postcard. I printed a map onto fabric, then on a scrap of the printer fabric I drew the 54-40 or Fight Block. I layered a scrap of batting and stitched the block outline on my Juki. I then hand stitched the faux mini block to my postcard. The last step was to "destress" the postcard.
I found and printed a map from the Library of Congress Blog page Here are the links to the blog where I found the map 1841 Oregon Territory. The blog is a quick and entertaining read. I really just wanted to wear my new thimble I purchased at Road to California in January |
These blending brushes another find at Road to California. My ink pad was a first on this weeks project. |
